17 Individuals Referred to Public Prosecutor at Kenitra Court of Appeal Following Incidents in Sidi Taibi- Public Prosecutor General
Kenitra - Following incidents that undermined public safety and order last Wednesday in the Sidi Taibi area of the Kenitra province, marked by acts of looting, violence, destruction of public and private property, and arson, 17 individuals who were arrested have been referred, on Saturday, to the Public Prosecutor at the Court of Appeal of Kenitra, according to a statement from the Public Prosecutor General at this court.


These individuals include 8 adults who were held in police custody and 9 minors for whom detention procedures were initiated at the Royal Gendarmerie’s judicial center, according to the same source.
In this regard, an investigation was requested against 4 adults suspected of committing acts punishable by law, as well as against 7 minors. Meanwhile, 6 individuals, including 2 minors, were referred to the Public Prosecutor at the Kenitra Court of First Instance.
The Prosecutor’s Office ordered that all suspects be placed in custody pending the completion of in-depth investigation procedures, while the search continues to arrest the remaining individuals involved in these criminal acts in order to bring them to justice, the statement concluded.
