Algeria, ravaged by alarming social and economic decay, has once again reached new depths of disgrace, as shown by the scandalous episode during TICAD in Japan. Its repugnant actions confirm its transformation into a true “Rogue State,” driven by an obsessive hatred against Morocco. What should have been a haven of fraternity has turned into a breeding ground for hatred, orchestrated by a military that has lost all dignity.
Algeria, or rather what it has become, now represents the height of decadence. This country has become a model of a rogue state on the international stage, joining the ranks of notoriously contemptible regimes like Iran and North Korea. Its complete disregard for international norms and rejection of basic principles of good neighborliness place it squarely in the dock of the global community.
It is urgent to rethink the very definition of a rogue state, including not only those that flout international law but also those that actively support criminal and terrorist entities. Algeria, through its excessive funding of separatist and terrorist groups, along with its harboring of Polisario mercenaries in Tindouf, sadly fulfills all the criteria of this infamous title.
The so-called Algerian “generals,” nothing more than puppet masters of chaos, sow discord and terrorism for their own sinister political ends. Their blind support for these criminal militias fuels regional crises and undermines any international efforts for peace and stability.
