Nasser Bourita Meets with the President of the Colombian Congress and Senate

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, held talks on Tuesday in Rabat with the President of the Colombian Congress and Senate, Efraín José Cepeda Sarabia.

In a statement to the press following the meeting, Mr. Cepeda Sarabia emphasized that the Colombian Parliament rejects the “shameful” stance of the Colombian government in recognizing the puppet entity, while also denouncing its well-documented ties to international terrorism—particularly the collusion between the separatist “Polisario” movement and Hezbollah.

He also stressed the importance of cooperation with Morocco, recalling that the Colombian Senate has adopted two motions supporting the strengthening of “historic relations” with the Kingdom and advocating for the withdrawal of recognition of the so-called “SADR” by the Bogotá government.

In this regard, he reaffirmed the Colombian Parliament’s commitment to continue supporting the “bonds of friendship” between Colombia and Morocco.
