Cairo: Morocco Receives Trophy for Best African Tennis Nation
Cairo - The Trophy for the Best African Tennis Nation was awarded to Morocco on Saturday in Cairo, for the seventh consecutive year.

The award ceremony took place during the closing event of the African Team Tennis Championships (U14), in the presence of Morocco’s Ambassador to Egypt, Mohamed Ait Ouali.
This prestigious continental distinction honors the outstanding performances of young Moroccan tennis players in various African competitions, particularly in the U14, U16, and U18 categories.
With a total of 2,100 points, Morocco significantly outpaced Tunisia (1,440 points) and Egypt (1,420 points), thus reaffirming its dominance in African tennis.
In a statement to MAP, Zakaria Zemrani, a member of the board of the Royal Moroccan Tennis Federation (FRMT), stated that this award reflects the sustained efforts made by the Federation over the years.
These efforts include support for national clubs, training for coaches and supervisors, as well as backing athletes at the international level, he added.
As head of the Moroccan delegation at the African Championships, Zemrani emphasized that one of the FRMT’s main goals remains the emergence of Moroccan champions capable of shining on the world’s most prestigious stages.
