Nasser Bourita and his Burundian counterpart, Mr. Albert Shingiro, sign ten cooperation agreements between the Kingdom and the Republic of Burundi.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccans Living Abroad, Mr. Nasser Bourita, received his Burundian counterpart, Mr. Albert Shingiro, on Monday in Rabat, on the occasion of the first session of the Joint Cooperation Commission between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of Burundi.

This first Joint Commission aims to provide new momentum to further strengthen the ties between Morocco and Burundi.
In this context, the two ministers signed ten cooperation agreements covering various fields, including finance, energy, infrastructure, agriculture, health, tourism, vocational training, academic scholarships and the sharing of expertise, education, training, decentralization, and local governance. They also signed a new Cooperation Roadmap for the period 2025–2027, covering several sectors of activity.
The two ministers also praised the quality of the privileged bilateral relations between Morocco and Burundi, which are marked by fraternity and friendship thanks to the visionary will of the two Heads of State, His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him, and His Excellency Mr. Evariste Ndayishimiye, President of the Republic of Burundi.
