HM the King Addresses Order of the Day to Royal Armed Forces on 69th Anniversary of FAR Creation
Rabat - His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Supreme Commander and Chief of General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces (FAR), addressed, on Wednesday, an Order of the day to officers, non-commissioned officers and privates, on the 69th anniversary of the creation of the FAR.

Here follows the full translation:
“Praise be to God, May peace and blessings be upon the Prophet, His Kith and Kin,
Officers, non-commissioned officers and privates,
The Royal Armed Forces and, with them, the entire Moroccan people, celebrate today the 69th anniversary of their creation, a renewed national opportunity to remember, with greater gratitude and deference, the memory of its founder who laid the first milestones, the Father of the Nation, Our Grandfather, the fighting King, the late His Majesty Mohammed V, may God sanctify His soul, and His companion in battle, Our August father, the late His Majesty King Hassan II, may God rest his soul, who took care to consolidate the foundations of our Armed Forces, to equip, train and qualify them so that they could fully carry out the missions entrusted to them.
This anniversary — so dear to Us — shall remain one of the remarkable milestones in the History of our Homeland, which We, as Supreme Commander and Chief of the General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces, celebrate with pride, reiterating to you, all ranks, officers, non-commissioned officers and privates, women and men, and all corps, land, air, naval and Royal Gendarmerie, Our immense benevolence and solicitude for the colossal efforts and enormous sacrifices you constantly make in defense of the Homeland and its territorial integrity.
In this context, We would like to address Our greetings and the expression of Our esteem and pride to all the members of Our Royal Armed Forces, the Royal Gendarmerie, the National Security and Auxiliary Forces, who watch over our land, air and sea borders, day and night, as well as to the various units in our Moroccan Sahara, for their dedication in fulfilling their sacred duty to protect the unity of the Homeland and its security, giving full meaning to the values of solid cohesion that characterize all Moroccans in the defense of their first national cause.
Officers, non-commissioned officers and privates,
While expressing Our pride in Our Royal Armed Forces and their level of readiness and permanent availability in the service of the Nation and its citizens, We salute the honorable efforts and noble actions, of human scope and solidarity, carried out by military units in risk management and natural disasters, through field interventions, rescue and salvage operations, assistance activities and medical services, always marked by the seal of expertise, efficiency and good planning, in execution of Our High Instructions in this framework.
We seize this opportunity to welcome the laudable achievements of military service, as a national project that offers young Moroccan men and women the opportunity to fulfill their national duty, by taking advantage of the material and moral resources of the military institution, which enable them to imbibe the values of discipline, perseverance, endurance and self-negation, in addition to training in various fields and specialties that will enable them to enter the job market and contribute to the renaissance of their country and society, while taking pride in their belonging, their Moroccan identity, their country’s history and glories, and loyalty to their King and the constants of their Nation.
Alongside their defense, military and humanitarian missions, the Royal Armed Forces have continued their commitment, with the same enthusiasm and determination, to United Nations peacekeeping operations, through the serious work carried out by our military contingents deployed in the Democratic Republic of Congo and the Central African Republic. This commitment is further strengthened by the deployment of experienced technical and medical staff to UN peacekeeping missions, thus contributing to the Kingdom’s international reputation as a distinguished and reliable partner supporting and maintaining international peace and security.
Officers, non-commissioned officers and privates,
The accelerating changes taking place in the world, the growing challenges posed by the current situation and the unprecedented regional and international disruptions they generate, as well as the resulting cross-border security and criminal threats, require our Royal Armed Forces to arm themselves with wisdom, vigilance and in-depth knowledge, so that they can constantly adapt to these new developments and be ready to face them with insight, firmness and professionalism.
To keep pace with these changes, His Majesty’s attention had to be focused, continuously and precisely, on the development and enrichment of military training programs and the improvement of scientific training curricula, both theoretical and practical, within our higher institutes and military training centers.
The concrete advances we have made today, by equipping our Armed Forces with the latest generation of equipment and techniques, have resulted in a growing interest in the central role of the human element, which has always been at the heart of Our priorities. By ensuring that they are well qualified and have excellent, comfortable working conditions that meet all the requirements of the professional life of members of the Royal Armed Forces, and by providing all the facilities needed for the various sporting and educational activities in barracks and training centers, We shall make Our soldiers the best tool for achieving the effectiveness and efficiency required for optimal use of the various defense equipment and systems.
On a different note, and with the same determination, We shall further support military industry implementation programs as one of the major national projects that enjoy Our High Solicitude. In this respect, We have ensured that all the right conditions are in place for the success of this project, in line with a foresighted, futuristic vision aimed at achieving defensive sovereignty, through the establishment of a favorable legal framework and major incentives for Moroccan and foreign investors and partners to promote this vital project.
Officers, non-commissioned officers and privates,
Preserving the accomplishments We have achieved requires us to continue mobilizing, with the same determination and the same degree of loyalty, to consolidate the strength and resilience of Our Army, equipping it with high-performance and operational means, while enabling its command staff and personnel to improve their material and moral achievements, and providing and bringing closer the necessary social and medical services to their families and loved ones.
May God preserve you, be up to the responsibility entrusted to you for the defense of the Homeland and its sovereignty, guarding the principles of Our Nation and the heritage of Our Forefathers, and committed to the duty of loyalty and gratitude to them, at their head the late Sovereigns, His Majesty King Mohammed V and His Majesty King Hassan II, may God have them in His holy mercy, imploring the Almighty to welcome them into His vast paradise and to reward them amply for their praiseworthy actions in the service of the Homeland.
We pray the Most High to also have in His holy mercy Our brave martyrs fallen in the field of honor for the defense of the integrity of the Homeland, its greatness and its independence, to assist you in your sacrifices in the service of your Homeland, and to guide your steps for the good of your country, while remaining unfailingly attached to the duty of obedience and respect to Your Supreme Commander and Your eternal motto: God, the Homeland, the King.”
