Nigerian Magazine “The New Africa”: Under the Leadership of HM the King, Morocco is a “Strategic” Player for Stability in Africa

Morocco, under the enlightened leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, is a “strategic” actor for stability in Africa, a reliable mediator, and a promoter of dialogue during times of crisis, stated the Nigerian magazine The New Africa.

Beyond its focus on economic development, Morocco’s African diplomacy, guided by HM the King, serves as a tool for promoting peace and dialogue, the magazine affirms.

Thanks to its credibility on the international stage, Morocco has played a crucial role in mediation efforts across several regions in Africa, the publication points out, notably citing the Kingdom’s key involvement in the Skhirat and Bouznika processes to help resolve the Libyan crisis.

By establishing itself as a trustworthy African actor, the Kingdom has given new momentum to its presence on the international stage, the magazine continues, adding that Morocco’s Atlantic vision has also opened new channels for dialogue between Africa and Latin America.

In this regard, the magazine highlights that Morocco has laid the foundation for a foreign policy model that places Africa at the heart of its priorities.

Beyond its contribution to fostering political dialogue, Morocco—through institutions such as the Mohammed VI Institute for the Training of Imams, Murshidines, and Murshidates, and the Mohammed VI Foundation of African Ulema—works to strengthen cultural and spiritual resilience in the face of extremist and radical ideologies that often fuel conflict, the Nigerian media outlet emphasizes.

The African policy championed by Morocco under the leadership of His Majesty the King prioritizes respect and partnership, the magazine underlines, highlighting the Royal Atlantic Africa Initiative, which encompasses major projects in the fields of energy, logistics, and food security—alongside connectivity stretching from Moroccan coasts to West Africa, including landlocked Sahel countries.
