In Baghdad, Nasser Bourita Received by Iraq’s Highest Authorities Ahead of the Arab Summit

On the occasion of the 34th ordinary session of the Arab Summit held in Baghdad, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccans Residing Abroad, Mr. Nasser Bourita, was received this Saturday by the highest authorities of the Republic of Iraq.

Ahead of the official opening of the Summit’s proceedings, Mr. Bourita first held a meeting with the Prime Minister of Iraq, Mr. Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani. This meeting provided an opportunity to reaffirm the shared will to strengthen bilateral ties between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of Iraq, based on mutual respect and in the interest of the two brotherly peoples.

Subsequently, the Minister was received by the President of the Republic of Iraq, Mr. Abdel Latif Jamal Rashid. This audience allowed for discussions on major regional issues and the constructive role played by Morocco—under the enlightened leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI—in promoting stability, dialogue, and inter-Arab cooperation.

These meetings highlight the depth of Moroccan-Iraqi relations and reflect the esteem accorded to the Kingdom in the context of joint efforts to strengthen Arab unity in the face of current challenges.
