Rabat: Opening of the 2025 “Global Growth Conference”
The 2025 edition of the Global Growth Conference (GGC) kicked off this Tuesday in Rabat, organized by the Amadeus Institute under the theme: “Financing Growth, Shaping the Energy Transition.”

The opening ceremony of this two-day conference, returning with a new edition after those held in 2013 and 2014, was attended by key figures including Younes Sekkouri, Minister of Economic Inclusion, Small Business, Employment and Skills (Morocco); Aminata Touré, High Representative of the President of Senegal; Daniel Mukoko Samba, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Economy of the Democratic Republic of Congo; Chakib Alj, President of the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM); and Brahim Fassi Fihri, President of the Amadeus Institute.
Thanks to its strategic positioning, GGC 2025 brings together over 600 participants from more than 50 countries, including ministers and senior government officials, leaders of international and regional financial institutions, private sector representatives, institutional investors, and high-level experts.
Taking place in a global context marked by rising protectionism, escalating Sino-American trade tensions, and increasing fragmentation of value chains, the conference aims to analyze the new geoeconomic dynamics reshaping the rules of international trade and influencing foreign investment flows.
This event is part of the Amadeus Institute’s ongoing commitment to promoting sustainable, inclusive, and balanced growth, particularly by strengthening synergies between public and private stakeholders and leveraging the opportunities offered by the African continent.
As an operational platform for dialogue and strategic reflection, the conference will explore key topics such as:
•The strategic reconfiguration of value chains
•Economic sovereignty amid trade tensions
•Financing growth and creating sustainable jobs
•Investment strategies and reforms to boost economic attractiveness
•Energy transition and prospects for green hydrogen
•Infrastructure development and sustainable water resource management
•Innovation, fintech, and digital transformation as drivers of economic change
•Promotion of regional cooperation and cross-border investment
GGC 2025 will also offer participants an enhanced setup for B2B, B2G, and G2G meetings, along with digital tools to facilitate strategic exchanges and the formation of impactful partnerships.
The conference will conclude with the drafting and presentation of the Rabat Roadmap on Growth Financing and Energy Transition—a reference document that will provide concrete, pragmatic, and actionable recommendations for national and international stakeholders.
