Morocco Beats USA to Reach Final of Mohammed VI International Polo Trophy
Assilah - Morocco defeated the United States 8-5 on Wednesday to secure a place in the final of the 5th Mohammed VI International Polo Trophy, held at the PGH La Palmeraie Polo Club in Assilah (North).

The tournament, organized by the Royal Moroccan Polo Federation under the High Patronage of HM King Mohammed VI, runs through May 25 at venues in Rabat and Assilah.
The Moroccan team—comprising Sidi Mohamed Elmhamdi, Zouhair Lachgar, Moulay Abdeslame El Hanafi, Mario Gomez and Zaki Bouslikhan—had opened the tournament on Monday with an 8.5-4 victory over the United Kingdom.
Eight teams are competing in the tournament, including sides from Egypt, Oman, Azerbaijan, Spain, France, the United States, and the United Kingdom.
The event aims to promote polo in Morocco and highlight the country’s sports infrastructure while fostering international cooperation through sport.
