L’bankalik, the Lifestyle Platform Joins the Game!
L’bankalik, the 100% mobile brand of the Attijariwafa bank group, successfully organized the grand finale of L’banka League, a major amateur e-sports tournament in its first edition. Held under the patronage of the Royal Moroccan Federation of Electronic Games (FRMJE) and in partnership with Mastercard and FC Media, the event marks a new chapter in Morocco’s digital lifestyle scene.

The high-profile finale took place on June 4, 2025, at the iconic Sacré-Cœur Cathedral in Casablanca and was broadcast live on social media. It brought together millions of young Moroccan gaming enthusiasts to celebrate the tournament’s finalists.
After several weeks of regional qualifiers and online competition, the Grand Finale crowned the Amateur Champion of Morocco’s L’banka League, in a vibrant and festive atmosphere.
L’bankalik: A Lifestyle Platform for the Mobile Generation
“By organizing L’banka League, we’re affirming that the bank of tomorrow doesn’t just speak the language of finance—it speaks passion, talent, and community. E-sports is a world of competition, precision, and self-improvement. With 47% of Moroccans aged 15–24 identifying as gamers, it’s a world that inspires us and a community we wanted to be part of,” said Ghyzlaine Alami Marrouni, Executive Director for the Retail & Professional Market.
L’bankalik is indeed a bank designed for the mobile generation—with a simple interface, accessible offers, and 100% digital support.
“The FRMJE is pleased to see banking institutions like L’bankalik investing in the development of Morocco’s e-sports ecosystem. This tournament is a model of collaboration between the private sector and gaming stakeholders,” emphasized Hicham El Khlifi, President of the FRMJE.
Launch of the Region’s First League of Legends Card
The L’banka League tournament also marked the launch of the first League of Legends card in the MENA region, in collaboration with Mastercard.
With a unique design, this card allows L’bankalik customers to access exclusive benefits on popular gaming stores, turning their passion into part of their daily life.
“We are proud to have supported L’bankalik in this pioneering initiative. Gaming is a powerful way to connect with younger generations, and this card is a great example of that,” said Mohamed Benomar, Managing Director of Mastercard North Africa.
Introducing L’bankalik Start: A Banking App for 12–17 Year Olds
To engage with an increasingly young gamer community and foster early financial education, L’bankalik also officially launched L’bankalik Start during the event.
This new banking app tailored for teens aged 12 to 17 provides a simple, intuitive interface to manage pocket money and learn basic financial skills.
The account is opened by parents via their Attijari Mobile app, which includes parental control tools for peace of mind.
L’bankalik continues to position itself not just as a digital bank, but as a lifestyle hub aligned with the interests and ambitions of Morocco’s youth.
