International Terrorism: The Polisario, Armed by the Algerian Military Junta, Has Dangerously Infiltrated Europe Under the Guise of Humanitarian Aid

A mask has just fallen. The hypocritical veil of a so-called “liberation movement” has crumbled, revealing a harsh and undeniable truth: the Polisario is nothing more than a terrorist group operating under the cover of a fabricated cause—with the active support and weaponry of its mentors in Algiers. The hard-hitting article published this Sunday, June 8, 2025, by the highly reputable Spanish newspaper La Vanguardia sounds the alarm: Spain and Europe are now directly threatened by terrorist networks linked to the Polisario, with connections stretching from the Tindouf camps to the gates of Europe.

What European intelligence services have feared for years has now been confirmed in black and white: radicalized Sahrawi elements, indoctrinated and militarily trained in the Tindouf camps under Algerian control, have infiltrated the European continent with the intent of spreading terror. Around ten of them, now under surveillance, are linked to the Islamic State – West Africa Province (ISWAP), one of the most violent branches of global Islamist terrorism.

Even more alarming, La Vanguardia reveals that these individuals, now sleeper agents, were welcomed through the supposedly humanitarian program “Vacaciones en Paz” (“Holidays in Peace”), generously funded by Algeria and long used for separatist propaganda. Today, this program is a Trojan horse, used to export terrorism from the Tindouf camps to Europe—especially to Spain. This initiative, disguised as an act of goodwill, has allowed sleeper cells to take root on Spanish soil, particularly in the Basque Country, where media and political outlets sympathetic to the Polisario quickly moved to conceal the suspects’ real origins. It should be recalled that Algeria annually funds the organization of the Boumerdes Summer University to train and mobilize the Polisario terrorist group against Spain and Europe, and to sow instability in the Sahel.

The name of Khatri Addouh, the current Polisario “ambassador” in Algiers, is also mentioned in these chilling revelations. One of the arrested suspects in Spain is said to be in direct contact with him. This is an extremely serious fact that proves the very top of the Polisario hierarchy is immersed in violent radical networks. Enough is enough: the time for complacency and naivety is over.

The Polisario Front, based in the Tindouf camps, operates from Algerian territory thanks to full logistical, military, and financial support from the Algerian military junta. The mafia-style generals in Algiers—whose political survival depends on regional instability—use this armed group as a pressure tool against Morocco, at the expense of the security of the entire Western Mediterranean.

Europe’s silence has now become culpable. The Polisario Front must be immediately designated as an international terrorist organization. Its networks in Spain, France, and elsewhere must be dismantled, its funding cut, and its spokespersons silenced.

Europe can no longer turn a blind eye: the Polisario is not a political entity, it is a security threat. It recruits, trains, arms, and exports terrorists with the active complicity of the Algerian regime. And with every day of silence from the European Union, every diplomatic hesitation, the risk of an attack orchestrated from the poisoned sands of Tindouf grows greater. It is time to act. It is time to expose the truth.
