“Ambassadors of Peace” or Sleeper Cells of International Terrorism? The Algerian-Polisario Program Under European Scrutiny
Once again, the true nature of the Polisario separatist group is being revealed: a tool in the hands of Algeria’s military regime, operating a dangerous network of regional destabilization. In a striking article titled “Sahel Alert: The Risk of an Out-of-Control Jihadist Sanctuary at Europe’s Doorstep”, the Italian outlet ATLANTICO sounds the alarm over the growing threats to European security, particularly that of Italy.

This well-documented, rigorous, and bold investigation confirms what Morocco—Europe’s only reliable southern shield—has been denouncing for years: proven links between Polisario militias and jihadist networks active in the Sahel. These dangerous connections, long overlooked or downplayed by a complacent Western narrative, can no longer be ignored.
Ideological and Terrorist Infiltration
At the center of this warning is the so-called “Ambassadors of Peace” program, designed and funded by Algeria, modeled on the “Vacations in Peace” initiative previously used in Spain. Far from being a humanitarian project, this program is in reality a cover for insidious ideological indoctrination, orchestrated by the Polisario and its Algerian patrons. In Italy, it acts as a Trojan horse, enabling the infiltration of propaganda—and potentially terrorist—networks into European soil.
The article warns of the very real risks of radicalized cells being introduced into sensitive environments under the guise of charitable actions, thereby threatening the national security of host countries. Italy is specifically cited as a vulnerable target, with intelligence services urged to remain highly vigilant in the face of this double-edged strategic manipulation.
Morocco: Europe’s Only Reliable Counterterrorism Partner
In this volatile context, the Italian outlet emphasizes the need to strengthen cooperation with credible regional partners—foremost among them, the Kingdom of Morocco. Thanks to its proactive diplomacy, historical presence in the Sahel region, and highly effective security services, Morocco has established itself as a key player in the fight against terrorism and instability south of the Sahara. Its continued presence on the ground and superior intelligence capabilities have become essential to any European security and prevention strategy.
Far from being a mere separatist movement, as Algerian propaganda claims, the Polisario now appears for what it truly is: a toxic and active player in a regional destabilization axis. Installed in militarized camps, fed on hatred, and manipulated by Algeria to harm Morocco, the group is evolving into a real transnational threat—one that connects separatism, organized crime, and terrorism.
A Blame That Cannot Be Ignored
By funding and overseeing these networks, the Algerian regime bears a heavy historical and moral responsibility. Not only does it deprive its own youth of freedom and a future, but it also exports chaos and division beyond its borders—with the cynical complicity of some foreign enablers.
The time for ambiguity and half-measures is over. Europe must open its eyes to the real dangers posed by the Algerian regime and its puppet, the Polisario. Terrorism doesn’t always arrive wielding Kalashnikovs—sometimes it shows up in summer, dressed in the deceptive attire of an “Ambassador of Peace.”
