Moroccan Football Teams: Sonasid and FRMF Sign Strategic Partnership
Salé – Sonasid, a leading steel industry player in Morocco, and the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) announced on Tuesday in Salé the signing of a multi-year strategic partnership, making Sonasid an official partner of Morocco’s national football teams.

The announcement was made during a ceremony held at the Mohammed VI Football Complex in Maâmora.
In a statement to the press, Ismail Akalay, CEO of Sonasid, said, “The signing of this partnership with the FRMF is a major milestone for our company. We are proud to support all national teams and to contribute to the promotion of Moroccan football.”
“This is also a partnership for our youth and for Morocco’s global visibility,” he added, noting, “this agreement is very important to us as it aligns perfectly with our current activities, especially given that we are involved in the construction of all sports and football fields across Morocco.”
He emphasized that “it is a source of pride for us to be part of Morocco’s large-scale infrastructure,” and that this partnership reflects the continuity of Sonasid’s collaboration with the FRMF and the company’s long-term commitment to supporting Moroccan football and raising the national flag high.
Speaking at the opening of the ceremony, Tarik Najem, Secretary General of the FRMF, stated that this is an important partnership between the FRMF and Sonasid, noting that it is part of the Federation’s ongoing strategy to engage with major institutional partners and sponsors to build a stronger football development ecosystem.
He added that the partnership with this major industrial group will allow collaboration on several projects aimed at developing national football and enhancing its visibility.
