Arab Parliament Highlights the Role of King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, in Defending the Palestinian Cause
The Arab Parliament on Saturday in Cairo praised the important role and ongoing efforts of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, in supporting the Palestinian cause.

In a resolution on the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories, adopted during the fifth plenary session of its fourth legislative term, the Arab Parliament highlighted the sustained work of the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Acharif Agency, which operates under the Al-Quds Committee chaired by King Mohammed VI. The agency plays a crucial role in preserving the identity and legal status of the Holy City and supporting the resilience of its population.
The Parliament further stressed that achieving security and stability in the Middle East and across the globe depends on a just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue. This includes ensuring the Palestinian people’s legitimate rights to freedom, independence, and the establishment of an independent state with Al-Quds Acharif as its capital.
It also reaffirmed its commitment to mobilizing international parliamentary support for the Palestinian people and their just cause. The Arab Parliament vowed to continue its outreach to regional and international parliaments, United Nations bodies, and international justice mechanisms such as the International Court of Justice and the International Criminal Court. Concrete action plans will also be pursued in coordination with all relevant stakeholders at every level.
The resolution called on all international and UN actors to take moral and legal responsibility to help establish peace, security, and stability in the Middle East. It emphasized that these goals can only be achieved through a resolution to the Palestinian issue based on international legality and by ensuring justice and freedom for the Palestinian people.
The Moroccan delegation to the session included members of the Moroccan parliamentary section: parliamentary advisor Mohamed El Bakouri, Chair of the Economic and Financial Affairs Committee of the Arab Parliament; MP Khadija Hajoubi, Vice-Chair of the Social, Educational, Cultural, Women and Youth Affairs Committee; MP Mohamed Lahmouch, member of the Foreign Affairs, Political, and National Security Committee; and MP Mohamed Ayach, member of the Legislative, Legal, and Human Rights Committee of the Arab Parliament.
