Palestinian PM Lauds HM the King’s Steadfast Support for Palestinian Cause

Seville - Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa lauded on Monday in Seville the steadfast and unwavering support of HM King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, for the Palestinian cause and people.

“I would like to reiterate, on behalf of President Mahmoud Abbas and the Palestinian people, my gratitude to HM King Mohammed VI for His sustained efforts on behalf of the Palestinian people,” Mustafa told the press following his talks with Morocco’s Head of Government Aziz Akhannouch, as part of the 4th International Conference on Financing for Development, held from June 30 to July 3 in Seville (southern Spain).

The discussions served as an opportunity to convey a message of esteem and consideration to the Moroccan government and people for the Kingdom’s tireless efforts on behalf of the Holy City, and for Morocco’s growing commitment to the difficult situation in the Gaza Strip, he added.

Mustafa further stressed the importance of putting an end to the suffering of the people of Gaza in order to plan for reconstruction, and the need to relaunch the political process on the basis of the two-state solution, with a view to establishing an independent state, with East Al-Quds as its capital.

The Moroccan delegation to the International Conference on Financing for Development is led by Akhannouch and includes Minister of Economy and Finance Nadia Fettah, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Morocco to the UN Omar Hilale and the Kingdom’s Ambassador to Spain Karima Benyaich.
