HM the King’s Firm, Unwavering Commitment to Africa Emphasized in Madrid
Madrid - Morocco's ambassador to Spain Karima Benyaich emphasized on Monday in Madrid the firm and unwavering commitment upheld to the highest level by His Majesty King Mohammed VI to Africa.

Speaking at a reception organized by the Moroccan Embassy in Madrid in honor of participants in the 3rd Africa Spain Summit, Benyaich underscored the Kingdom’s central role as a bridge between Africa and Europe, calling for stronger economic, political and cultural synergies to jointly meet the challenges facing the African continent.
Recalling that Morocco places Africa at the heart of its foreign policy, the diplomat pointed out that the Kingdom is working tirelessly for a united, integrated and supportive Africa.
She also referred to the 52 visits made by His Majesty the King to 30 African countries, noting that the Kingdom has signed over 1,000 agreements with African countries since 1999, and regularized the situation of nearly 60,000 sub-Saharan nationals thanks to a humane migration policy.
Benyaich also spoke of the partnership between Morocco and Spain, stressing that this partnership opens the way to a host of opportunities within the framework of three-way Moroccan-Spanish-African cooperation as a strategic axis for stability and shared prosperity.
The reception was attended by influential figures from the realms of politics, diplomacy and business, gathered to celebrate Africa’s central role in current international dynamics, as well as Morocco’s pioneering role as a strategic bridge between Spain and the African continent.
Morocco’s participation in the Africa Spain Summit was an opportunity to reiterate Morocco’s ongoing commitment to strengthening partnerships within Africa and between Africa and Europe, and to create a space for constructive dialogue, encouraging exchanges between decision-makers and opinion leaders on opportunities for South-South and North-South cooperation.
