PAM Honors Jacob Zuma, Historic Figure of the Anti-Apartheid Struggle and Former President of South Africa

At the invitation of the Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM), former President of the Republic of South Africa, Jacob Zuma, was received at the party’s national headquarters in Rabat by its Collective Leadership, composed of Mehdi Bensaïd, Fatima Ezzahra El Mansouri, and Fatima Saadi.

This official visit marks a major political event, highlighted by the presence of an emblematic figure in the fight for freedom and dignity in Africa. Jacob Zuma, also president of the Umkhonto we Sizwe movement—the historic military wing of the African National Congress (ANC)—embodies a living memory of the resistance against apartheid and a key advocate of African sovereignty.

Welcomed in a spirit of fraternity and Pan-African dialogue, Jacob Zuma held discussions with PAM officials on issues related to South-South cooperation, the strengthening of inter-party relations, and the need to amplify Africa’s voice on the international stage. The Collective Leadership of PAM hailed him as a man of conviction, struggle, and vision, who continues to champion just causes across the continent.

This meeting reflects PAM’s commitment to a renewed intra-African diplomatic and political dynamic, based on mutual respect, the shared legacy of liberation movements, and the building of a common future for the peoples of the continent.

Through this initiative, the Authenticity and Modernity Party reaffirms its Pan-African grounding, its openness to the continent’s great historical figures, and its ambition to actively contribute to the consolidation of strategic African solidarities.
