Morocco’s Openness to its Immediate Neighborhood Reflects the Kingdom’s “Central” Role in the Region – Rep. Joe Wilson
Washington - Morocco’s openness to its immediate neighborhood and the outstretched-hand policy of His Majesty King Mohammed VI reflect the Kingdom’s “central” role in the region, U.S. Congressman Joe Wilson said.

The unwavering commitment of His Majesty the King to the policy of the outstretched hand, reaffirmed in His Speech to the Nation on the occasion of the 26th anniversary of His accession to the Throne, “illustrates Morocco’s central role in the region,” the American lawmaker told MAP.
This position also illustrates the “strategic vision” of the Sovereign, emphasized Wilson, who chairs the Congressional Morocco Caucus within the U.S. Congress.
HM the King’s leadership in making Morocco a center of investment will bring mutual benefits to both Morocco and the United States, the Congressman noted.
In this regard, Wilson recalled that the free trade agreement between the two countries, which entered into force over two decades ago, “is in a position to bring about numerous mutual benefits.”
The member of the U.S. House of Representatives further emphasized that by focusing on economic growth, the King is making Morocco “the center of development in North Africa” and beyond.
