Moroccan Community in Qatar Honors Veteran Journalists Mohamed Ammor and Mohamed Zoukar

In a warm, celebratory evening filled with nostalgia and camaraderie, the Moroccan community in Qatar came together to honor two of its most distinguished media figures: Mohamed Ammor, former director of beIN Sports News, and Mohamed Zoukar, a senior producer with Al Kass Sports Channels.

The tribute event served as more than just a moment of recognition — it was a gathering of minds and hearts. Dozens of Moroccans from various fields, including journalism, academia, education, and business, came together to celebrate the careers of two men whose contributions to the media world have spanned decades and crossed borders.

Hosted in one of Doha’s hotels, the evening was organized in partnership with Royal Air Maroc and had a distinctly intimate, family-like atmosphere. The event reflected the deep bonds of respect and solidarity that unite the Moroccan diaspora in Qatar.

The ceremony was presented by Saïd Belfaqir, himself a seasoned media producer with Al Kass.

“Mgharba fi Qatar,” the forum behind the initiative, regularly hosts cultural and community events aimed at strengthening ties among Moroccans living in Qatar and highlighting their achievements.
