Morocco Calls for a Unified and Firm Arab Position in Response to Iranian Attacks
As part of the extraordinary session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the League of Arab States, held remotely on Sunday, March 8, 2026, to examine Iran’s attacks against the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Arab countries, Morocco called for a collective and determined Arab response.
During this ministerial meeting, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, advocated for the adoption of a unified and firm Arab position to confront all practices that could threaten the stability and security of the Arab region.
The head of Moroccan diplomacy also stressed the need for an immediate halt to the Iranian attacks, considering that such de-escalation is essential to allow diplomatic efforts to continue and to encourage the path of dialogue.
According to Nasser Bourita, priority must be given to the diplomatic track and the language of dialogue, with the objective of reducing tensions and preventing a worsening of the security situation in the region.
