Nasser Bourita co-chairs in Rabat the opening of an African training program on election observation

Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates Nasser Bourita co-chaired today in Rabat, alongside Bankole Adeoye, African Union Commissioner for Political Affairs, Peace and Security, the opening ceremony of the fifth edition of the specialized training cycle for election observers in Africa.

The event comes within the framework of ongoing efforts to strengthen African capacities in democratic governance and the monitoring of electoral processes. It brings together participants from several countries across the continent who have come to benefit from in-depth training focused on international election observation standards.

Through this initiative, Morocco reaffirms its commitment to political stability in Africa and to the strengthening of democratic institutions. The training cycle aims to equip African observers with advanced technical and analytical tools in order to help ensure transparent, credible and internationally compliant elections.

The co-chairing of the ceremony by the Kingdom and the African Union reflects the strength of their strategic partnership, founded on a shared vision of promoting peace, security and sustainable development across the continent.
