This meeting is part of efforts to strengthen cooperation between the Kingdom of Morocco and OIC-affiliated institutions, particularly in strategic areas such as food security, sustainable development, and the resilience of agricultural systems in member countries.
During this productive exchange, Mr. Bourita reaffirmed Morocco’s strong commitment, under the enlightened leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, to active solidarity with fellow Islamic countries, especially in critical sectors related to food sovereignty and the fight against nutritional insecurity.
Mr. Berik Aryn, for his part, praised Morocco’s leadership in sustainable agricultural policies, highlighting the significant progress achieved through the Green Morocco Plan and its current phase, “Generation Green.” He also expressed the desire to see Morocco play a more central role within the IOFS, as a model of integrated and innovative agricultural development.
The meeting provided an opportunity to explore several avenues of collaboration, including the establishment of joint research projects, the exchange of best practices, and Morocco’s active participation in IOFS-led training and technical assistance programs.
By hosting this high-level meeting, Rabat once again reaffirms the Kingdom’s African and Islamic identity, while reinforcing its role as a committed and leading actor in promoting food security on both regional and international levels.
