Arab Summit Endorses Morocco’s Bid for UN Security Council Seat for 2028-2029 Term

The session, held with the participation of delegations from Arab countries including Morocco, concluded by adopting the Baghdad Declaration.

His Majesty King Mohammed VI was represented at the 34th Arab Summit by Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates Nasser Bourita.

The Moroccan delegation included Mohamed Ait Ouali, Morocco’s Ambassador to Cairo and Permanent Representative to the Arab League; Abdelkarim Bensellam, Chargé d’Affaires at the Moroccan Embassy in Iraq; Abdelali El Jahid, Head of the Division of Arab and Islamic Organizations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Hicham Ould Sallay, Morocco’s Deputy Permanent Representative to the Arab League, as well as Mohamed Nouri, Advisor at the Permanent Mission of Morocco to the Arab League.
