In a Joint Statement signed Thursday in Rabat following the meeting held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, and the Slovak Minister of Foreign and European Affairs, Juraj Blanár, Slovakia reaffirmed “that it will continue to support the Kingdom of Morocco’s interests within the European Union.”
Slovakia also hailed the Visegrád+Morocco Dialogue, expressing its determination to work “tirelessly on the development of triangular cooperation initiatives between the Visegrád Group and Morocco for the benefit of the African continent.”
Slovakia’s interest in partnership with Morocco testifies to the Kingdom’s significance as a credible partner for both the Visegrád Group and the EU, and strengthens Morocco’s steadfast commitment to the growth and development of the African continent.
It is worth recalling that the first “V4+Morocco” ministerial meeting, held in Budapest in December 2021, identified promising prospects for cooperation, with a shared willingness to explore new areas of partnership with Morocco as a gateway to Africa and the Visegrád Group as a bridge to Central and Eastern Europe.
