The meeting with the British MPs, representing the British Group at the Inter-Parliamentary Union, also served as an opportunity to praise the historical ties linking the two Kingdoms and the major projects launched by the Kingdom of Morocco, as well as the initiatives of His Majesty King Mohammed VI at all national, regional, and international levels, which aim to achieve development and prosperity for the people, reinforce international solidarity, and establish peace and security in their various dimensions, the House of Representatives said in a press release.
Talbi Alami and the members of the British Group, led by the Chair of the British Group at the Inter-Parliamentary Union, MP Fabian Hamilton, also exchanged views on the parliamentary experiences of the two countries, their aspects of convergence and divergence, and the relations linking the legislative institution to the other Branches and institutions, in addition to external relations.
In this respect, they emphasized the importance of bilateral and multilateral parliamentary diplomacy in reinforcing the momentum of the strategic relations between the Kingdom of Morocco and the United Kingdom.
In addition to Hamiltion, the British delegation included MP Charlie Dewhirst, MP Rupa Huq, and MP Iqbal Mohamed, from the House of Commons, and Baroness Brown and Baroness Prashar from the House of Lords, as well as administrative officers and executives from both sides.
The British parliamentary delegation is paying a working visit to the Kingdom of Morocco from June 2 to 5, during which it will hold meetings and perform field visits to explore the major structural and development projects launched by the Kingdom of Morocco under the enlightened leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
