Presidency of the Government Majority Meets: Highlights Diplomatic Successes and Socio-Economic Progress

On this occasion, the participants praised the positive momentum and ongoing diplomatic victories achieved by the Kingdom under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him—particularly regarding the Sahara issue, as reflected in the recent position of the United Kingdom, which considers Morocco’s autonomy proposal to be “the most credible, serious, and pragmatic basis for a lasting resolution to this regional dispute.”

The meeting also highlighted the notable progress made under the social state initiative led by the Sovereign, especially in areas such as the universalization of medical coverage, the implementation of the direct social assistance program, housing support, and major reforms in the health and education sectors, alongside unprecedented gains for the working class.

Economic Achievements

On the economic front, the government majority welcomed the administration’s success in consolidating a strong, dynamic, wealth- and job-generating Moroccan economy, resilient in the face of national and global fluctuations. This success is illustrated by recent national economic performance, with growth reaching 4.2% in the first quarter of the current year, driven by positive results in sectors such as agriculture, industry, foreign trade, and tourism.

Between the first quarter of 2024 and that of 2025, the Moroccan economy created 282,000 new jobs, confirming the effectiveness of the government’s choices in terms of economic recovery and employment incentives, noted the presidency.

Agricultural and Environmental Strategy

The presidency also underscored the government’s responsiveness to His Majesty’s High Royal Instructions concerning the sustainable rebuilding of the national livestock herd, through the launch of a support program for livestock farmers based on five key pillars:

  1. Debt restructuring
  2. Subsidized animal feed
  3. Preservation of breeding females
  4. Preventive treatment against diseases
  5. Technical support

Structural Reforms

Lastly, the majority praised the government’s efforts in areas such as water security, energy transition, and digital transformation, as well as its robust legislative activity, carried out in coordination with both Chambers of Parliament. It reaffirmed its commitment to continue and complete the legislative process to ensure optimal implementation of reforms and commitments outlined in the government program.
