In response to Algeria’s blatant attempts to exploit every foreign visit as a means of legitimizing its separatist agenda, President Kagame took a strong diplomatic step by publishing the full text of his speech, providing undeniable proof that no mention was made of the Polisario or the pseudo-RASD.
Once again, the Algerian regime demonstrates its desperate and pathetic manipulation of African diplomacy, attempting to pass off fabricated narratives as political facts. This outdated and deceptive tactic fools no one anymore—especially not Morocco’s partners across the continent, who can clearly recognize state-sponsored disinformation when they see it.
It is high time Algeria stops diverting public attention through diplomatic charades. What Africa truly needs is genuine cooperation, shared development, and peace—not propaganda-fueled maneuvers around an artificial cause orchestrated behind the closed doors of power in Algiers.
Morocco, bolstered by sincere alliances and solid continental leadership, continues to move forward. Algeria, meanwhile, remains bogged down in a one-sided cold war of its own making.
Here is the full speech delivered by President Paul Kagame during the Joint Press Conference with President Abdelmadjid Tebboune – Algiers, June 3, 2025:
Your Excellency Abdelmadjid Tebboune, President of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria,
Honourable Ministers and senior officials,
Ladies and Gentlemen,
Mr. President, I thank you once again for the generosity and warm welcome extended to me and my delegation.
This beautiful city, rich in both history and progress, is a testament to the strength and dignity of the Algerian people.
In this time of global uncertainty, Africa must remain united around a common vision.
President Tebboune and I held very constructive discussions, building on the long-standing friendship between our two countries.
The upcoming opening of a Rwandan diplomatic mission in Algeria will help strengthen our economic ties and boost exchanges between our private sectors.
In the field of education, Algeria’s support for Rwandan students in advanced disciplines such as artificial intelligence and data science has been a real success.
This reflects the forward-looking nature of our partnership and our shared commitment to building the capacities of our peoples.
We also value the close cooperation between our countries in multilateral forums, where we support each other on regional and global issues.
The agreements signed today in various sectors, including higher education and information technology, will certainly open new avenues for collaboration.
Mr. President, allow me to reaffirm Rwanda’s determination to build on this momentum and work together in service of our peoples.
Thank you.
