The Casablanca Aéronautique site, Figeac Aéro’s Moroccan subsidiary located in Nouaceur, near Mohammed V Airport, will play a central role in this contract. With around 900 employees and integrated industrial expertise—from machining and assembly to sheet metal work and surface treatment—the plant will manufacture high-tech aluminum components for the 737 Max series.
This partnership confirms Morocco’s strategic position in global aerospace value chains. Thanks to modern infrastructure, a skilled and growing workforce, and consistent public support, Morocco continues to attract the world’s biggest aerospace players. For Figeac Aéro, this contract is part of its “Pilot 28” strategic plan, aimed at expanding its footprint with North American clients at a time when the global aerospace market is seeing renewed momentum.
Jean-Claude Maillard, CEO of Figeac Aéro, hailed this as a major step forward, stating that it “reflects the growth opportunities offered by our production sites in Morocco and around the world,” and highlighting the strength of a strategy grounded in international industrial presence and strong local anchors.
This new collaboration builds on recent investments in Nouaceur. In 2023, Casablanca Aéronautique launched a major site expansion, supported by Morocco’s Ministry of Industry and Trade. The project aimed to integrate advanced technologies, such as 5-axis machining, to meet the high standards of elite clients like Safran. The facility’s extension, inaugurated in 2024, significantly increased the plant’s capacity and competitiveness.
With industrial operations also in France, the United States, and Mexico, Figeac Aéro closed its fiscal year in March 2025 with revenues of €432.3 million.
At the national level, Morocco’s aerospace industry is soaring in 2025. According to the latest figures from the Office des Changes, aerospace exports exceeded 9.5 billion dirhams by the end of April 2025, marking a 14% increase compared to the previous year. This growth further cements Morocco’s ambition to become an essential industrial hub serving the world’s leading aerospace manufacturers.
