A wind of truth is finally sweeping across the international stage. In Washington, a bipartisan bill has sent shockwaves through diplomatic circles: the Polisario Front—an artificial entity fabricated by the Algerian regime—is now in the crosshairs of the U.S. Congress to be designated as a Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO). The curtain is rising on a historical fraud, supported for over half a century by an increasingly rudderless and isolated Algerian military junta.
This bill, introduced on June 24, 2025, by Republican Congressman Joe Wilson and co-sponsored by Democrat Jimmy Panetta, marks a clear break from past diplomatic ambiguities. It affirms what many geopolitical analysts and intelligence services have long known: the Polisario is a Marxist armed militia, backed by Iran, Hezbollah, and Russia, and serves as a destabilizing tool in the region for Tehran’s agenda.
The Algiers–Tehran Axis: A Regional Threat Fueled by Hostility Toward Morocco
Algeria has never pursued peace. Quite the opposite—it has relentlessly sustained an artificial conflict by pouring billions of petrodollars into a separatist movement devoid of legitimacy. Meanwhile, its so-called leaders live in luxury in Tindouf, while thousands of Sahrawis languish in poverty.
This blind support for a lost cause is rooted in an unhealthy obsession: to block Morocco’s emergence as a regional power at any cost, to hinder its Atlantic reach, and above all, to sabotage its territorial integrity. But by playing with fire, the Algerian regime is getting burned. Through its alliances with Iran’s theocratic regime, Putin, and Hezbollah militias, Algeria is choosing international marginalization.
Morocco, a Historic U.S. Ally, Strengthens Its Legitimacy
In the face of this threat, the United States is reaffirming its strategic stance: the Kingdom of Morocco is a reliable and stable ally for over 248 years—the first nation to recognize U.S. independence. The autonomy plan proposed by Rabat remains the only viable, credible, and realistic solution, as already acknowledged by Washington, along with a growing number of European and African powers.
Thus, the Congressional move is far more than symbolic—it signals a turning point. The bill calls not only for the designation of the Polisario as a Foreign Terrorist Organization, but also for direct sanctions against its leaders and backers. A historic first in the fabricated Western Sahara conflict.
A Clear Message to Algiers: Impunity Is Over
This bill is a stinging blow to the Algerian regime. The same regime that falsely claims to be “non-involved” now stands exposed for what it truly is: the primary instigator of a futile conflict, the protector of a paramilitary armed group, and a strategic ally of the West’s most notorious enemies.
It is high time for the international community to open its eyes. The Tindouf camps have become breeding grounds for radicalization, where children are indoctrinated, humanitarian aid is diverted, and human rights are trampled in the name of a stillborn separatist agenda.
Morocco Moves Forward, Algeria Sinks Deeper
While Morocco builds, innovates, and invests across the African continent—positioning itself as a pillar of peace and sustainable development—Algeria clings to its hostile schemes, backing an organization now on the verge of being officially recognized as a terrorist group.
History will remember that Morocco chose the path of legitimacy, stability, and international law, while the Algerian regime, blinded by ideology and entrenched in its obsessions, locked itself into isolation and alliances with the forces of global subversion.
