Morocco’s Top Police Chief Receives Head of Emirati Intelligence Services

According to a DGSN-DGST press release, the meeting forms part of a working visit aimed at developing mechanisms for cooperation and mutual assistance, and broadening the scope of security coordination and partnership.

Talks between the two officials focused on ways of strengthening operational cooperation and security coordination, as well as consolidating information exchange mechanisms to deal with all security threats, namely terrorist risks in different zones of tension.

The meeting provided an opportunity to assess the growing security challenges in Africa, namely in the Sahel-Saharan region, and review ways of concerting joint action to meet the regional challenges posed by terrorism, which has become a growing source of concern not only for neighboring countries, but also for global peace and security.

These discussions reflect the common will of both Morocco and the UAE’s security services to consolidate and broaden the scope of their bilateral cooperation in order to curb the risks hindering peace and security in the two countries, as well as in their regional and international environments.
