Morocco and Ecuador Hold Talks on Trade and Industrial Cooperation

The meeting is part of Morocco’s broader strategy to strengthen ties with Latin America and aims to identify mutually beneficial opportunities for economic exchange and investment.

Speaking to the press after the discussions, Minister Mezzour said the visit served to explore ways to expand economic relations between the two countries. He also noted that the Ecuadorian delegation is scheduled to visit the Tanger Med port on Saturday, describing it as a key gateway to international markets.

He emphasized that Ecuador’s geographic position presents promising prospects for trade and investment that could help strengthen Morocco’s economic fabric and broaden the Kingdom’s cooperation networks.

For her part, Minister Sommerfeld welcomed the constructive nature of her exchange with Minister Mezzour, focusing on identifying complementarities between the productive sectors of both countries.

She announced that cross-economic missions will be organized in the near future to establish a shared agenda aimed at building concrete partnerships.

“This momentum is opening up numerous investment and trade cooperation opportunities that can help reinforce our respective economies,” she said.
