“The LIDE Brazil-Morocco Forum, bringing together more than a hundred business leaders and institutional officials from both countries, is the most clear proof of this commitment and of the shared will to move forward in partnership,” emphasized Temer during the opening ceremony of this high-level economic meeting.
In Brazil, there is a growing interest in developing relations with Morocco, said the former Brazilian head of state (2016–2018), welcoming the holding of this economic meeting in Marrakech, “a symbol of progress, development, and tourism.”
The various topics addressed during the forum will generate ideas and proposals that will be important for strengthening bilateral relations in the economic and entrepreneurial spheres, he noted.
For his part, the Brazilian Ambassador to Morocco, Alexandre Parola, stated that the event offers a concrete platform to launch new cooperation prospects in promising sectors such as food security, clean energy, logistical integration, and technological innovation.
“The fruitful discussions are inspiring for forging sustainable partnerships based on trust and mutual interest,” he added.
João Doria, founder and co-chair of the Business Leaders Group (LIDE) and former governor of São Paulo, highlighted the “strength” of the ties between Morocco and Brazil, asserting that the forum will undoubtedly give new momentum to the economic relations between the two countries.
