The program also includes rescheduling certain dam projects and accelerating work on priority ones, in line with royal directives for sustainable water policy, Baraka underlined following a meeting of the steering committee of the National Drinking Water Supply and Irrigation Program 2020–2027 (PNAEPI 20–27), chaired by Head of government Aziz Akhannouch.
He noted a slight improvement in water availability, despite continued pressure on resources due to rising temperatures. Baraka added that the ministry is working closely with regional stakeholders to ensure a steady drinking water supply during summer months through consumption management and localized resource mobilization.
