During the meeting, Talbi Alami and Braun-Pivet welcomed the excellence of bilateral relations, driven by an exceptional dynamic between the Kingdom and the French Republic.
The Lower House Speaker told MAP that the meeting was an opportunity to highlight the deep ties between the two countries, driven by the willingness of the two Heads of State, His Majesty King Mohammed VI and His Excellency President Emmanuel Macron, who have given a strong impetus to bilateral cooperation in various fields.
The exchanges also highlighted the excellence of bilateral and multilateral parliamentary ties between the two institutions, based on cooperation, mutual respect and coordination at the level of various international parliamentary bodies, Talbi Alami indicated.
Both parties expressed their shared willingness to build on the achievements of bilateral cooperation, and to activate parliamentary mechanisms, notably the exchange and sharing of experience and expertise, parliamentary visits and the work of friendship groups. Emphasis was placed in this respect on the France-Morocco Parliamentary Forum, whose next session will be held in Morocco, Talbi Alami pointed out.
The meeting, attended by Moroccan Ambassador to France Samira Sitail and MPs Lhoussaine Ouallal and Latifa Lablih, also provided an opportunity to discuss regional and international issues of common parliamentary interest, both in the Francophone world and within regional and international bodies.
Talbi Alami is leading the Moroccan delegation to the 50th session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Francophonie, held at the French Senate and National Assembly until Sunday.
