In a statement to the press, Bouayach noted that this was the first high-level meeting between the CNDH and Palestinian actors from the political and social spheres, hailing the discussions and interactions that marked the meeting.
Bouayach also emphasized that the meeting provided an opportunity to exchange views on human rights issues, which she described as a cornerstone for achieving a just and lasting peace in the region, in accordance with internationally recognized human rights standards.
For his part, Ahmad Said Ahmad Al-Tamimi, head of the PLO’s Department of Human Rights and Civil Society and member of the PLO Executive Committee expressed his department’s commitment to maintaining ongoing communication with the CNDH and benefiting from Morocco’s expertise in the field of human rights.
Meanwhile, the Ambassador of Palestine to Morocco, Jamal Choubaki, welcomed the CNDH’s commitment to sharing its expertise with the PLO’s Department of Human Rights and Civil Society.
