Morocco Achieved Exceptional Progress Under HM the King’s Leadership – Ambassador

Sitail also highlighted the uniqueness of the Moroccan model of tolerance and otherness and spoke of the Kingdom’s pluralistic culture and identity, underscoring the values of openness, diversity, and coexistence that unite Moroccans and reflect the spirit of the Nation.

The Ambassador of HM the King in Paris also mentioned the deep-rooted Morocco-France ties and the prospects for the reinforced exceptional partnership between the two countries.

“Celebrating Throne Day is surely an occasion to assess the progress made by the Kingdom, particularly the one France and Morocco are achieving together,” Sitail said.

Before a prestigious audience comprising several members of the French government, deputies and senators, diplomats, and other figures from the political, economic, cultural, artistic, and sporting spheres, as well as the Moroccan community living in France, the diplomat recalled that “exactly one year ago today, French President Emmanuel Macron formalized France’s support for Morocco’s sovereignty over its southern provinces in a letter of congratulations addressed to His Majesty the King.”

For his part, the Kingdom’s Permanent Delegate to UNESCO Samir Addahre stated that this ceremony commemorating the glorious Throne Day embodies not only the historic pact between the Monarchy and the Moroccan people, but also “the continuity, stability, and progress that guide our Nation, under the enlightened leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.”

In turn, Laurent Saint-Martin, French Minister Delegate for Foreign Trade, praised the “historic,” “rich,” and “close” ties between Morocco and his country, which are based on “sincere and deep friendship.”

French President Emmanuel Macron and His Majesty King Mohammed VI “are upgrading this relationship together” and have decided to embark on a new chapter in relations between the two countries, he recalled.

Saint-Martin spotlighted Morocco’s key role as “the leading African investor and trading partner in France” and France’s role as “the leading foreign investor in the Kingdom.”
