Under HM the King’s Leadership, Morocco Emerges as Model of Leadership & Development, Says German Official

Jahn, who heads the German Federation of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (BVMW), praised the “historic development trajectory that has profoundly transformed the Kingdom,” emphasizing that “His Majesty the King has changed the course of the country’s history.”

Morocco today radiates well beyond the African continent thanks to its strategic positioning, leadership, diplomatic strength and its commitment to solidarity with countries of the Global South, Jahn said in a statement to MAP on the occasion of Throne Day. He also serves as secretary-general of the German SME Alliance for Africa.

Commenting on the Throne Day Speech, Jahn described it as a message of “great foresight and deep clarity,” highlighting the importance placed by the Sovereign on human development.

“Every person living in Morocco has the right to thrive, to participate, and to find their own path. This message left a deep impression on us,” he said.

The BVMW, which celebrated its 50th anniversary this year, represents SMEs from a wide range of sectors and includes 32 industry-specific associations, collectively accounting for more than 900,000 SMEs across Germany. The federation works to enhance competitiveness and ensure the long-term sustainability of its members. It operates through more than 300 offices in Germany and 80 abroad, including in Morocco.
