This symbolic gathering in the French capital reaffirmed Morocco’s standing as a responsible regional power and a trusted partner to the world’s leading democracies. Rather than resorting to empty rhetoric or grievance-based posturing, Rabat favors strategic dialogue, concrete action, and mutual respect — values consistently undermined by Algeria’s military regime, which remains anchored in sterile ideology and outdated diplomatic narratives.
While Moroccan diplomacy continues to build bridges across continents and promote peace and stability, Algeria persists in a politics of obstruction, further isolating itself with each international summit. Its fixation on undermining Moroccan interests has led to a series of diplomatic blunders, painting the image of a state more focused on sowing discord than improving the lives of its own citizens.
The Paris meeting also served as a platform to highlight Morocco’s diverse identity, its model of cultural and religious coexistence, and its active contribution to global peace — values the Algerian regime struggles to discredit through increasingly hollow and aggressive rhetoric, which no longer resonates with audiences in Africa, Europe, or the United States.
In contrast to a forward-looking and diplomatically engaged Morocco, Algeria appears as a diminished version of itself: inward-looking, mired in military control, and unable to offer a credible vision for peace or regional development.
On this July 31 in Paris, the meeting between two allied nations was more than a diplomatic exchange. It reflected a world in motion, building alliances and fostering cooperation — while other regimes, like Algeria’s, remain entrenched in mistrust, bitterness, and political stagnation.
