In the framework of the profound care bestowed by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, May God Assist Him, to members of our community abroad, the Department of Moroccans Residing Abroad will celebrate the National Day of Moroccans Residing Abroad on August 10th, 2025, under the theme: “The Digitalization project: A lever to strengthen proximity services for Moroccans Living Abroad”.
As in previous years, and in order to enable our fellow citizens residing abroad to actively participate in this day during their summer stay in Morocco, celebrations will be organized at the level of various prefectures and provinces of the Kingdom, in coordination with the Ministry of the Interior.
Celebrated annually on August 10th, this day, established in 2003 by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, May God Assist Him, represents a privileged opportunity to strengthen the bonds between Moroccans residing abroad and their country of origin. It highlights their achievements and aspirations in a context marked by profound changes and new challenges.
Within this framework, this year’s celebration emphasizes the growing priority that the digital transformation initiative has occupied in our country for several years. It offers an opportunity to showcase the accomplishments, the efforts made, as well as the challenges to be addressed regarding the digitalization of services intended for Moroccans residing abroad.
The event will also highlight public policies and sectoral programs related to this initiative, while listening to the expectations and aspirations of Moroccans residing abroad concerning the digitalization of services, in order to better identify their needs.
Finally, it will also aim to promote the exchange of ideas and the sharing of best practices among the various sectors and public and private institutions involved in the digitalization of services intended for our compatriots abroad.
