Kickoff of the Morocco Royal Tour 2025 in Tetouan

This opening stage in Tetouan brings together a top-class lineup of riders from over fifteen nations. A total of 200 foreign horses have made the journey, alongside more than 100 riders from Europe, South America, the Middle East, and Africa. For the first time, the Morocco Royal Tour welcomes competitors from Argentina and Bahrain, joining regular participants from Brazil, Egypt, Italy, France, Poland, Portugal, the Netherlands, Norway, Great Britain, Ireland, Ukraine, Spain, Switzerland, and Saudi Arabia. This diversity highlights not only the growing international appeal of the event but also the trust placed by leading equestrian federations and stables in Morocco’s circuit. It also provides a unique opportunity for Moroccan riders to compete on home ground against the world’s elite in show jumping.

Spectators will enjoy four days of high-level competition, from September 18 to 21, with two evening sessions scheduled for Friday and Saturday at 8:30 p.m. The circuit will then move on to Rabat, from September 24 to 28, at the headquarters of the Royal Moroccan Federation of Equestrian Sports, before concluding in El Jadida from October 2 to 5 as part of the prestigious Horse Show. Both stages will feature upgraded facilities, including new sand arenas in Rabat and El Jadida, reflecting the Kingdom’s continued commitment to excellence in equestrian sports.

Since its creation, the Morocco Royal Tour has established itself as a major event on the international equestrian calendar. Organized by the Morocco Royal Tour Foundation—comprising the Royal Guard, the Royal Moroccan Federation of Equestrian Sports, and the Horse Show Association—it embodies the successful alliance between equestrian sport and world-class organization.

Through this inaugural stage, the Morocco Royal Tour once again affirms its role as a driving force in promoting equestrian sports in Morocco while enhancing the Kingdom’s international sporting reputation.
