Dakhla: A Crossroads of Economic Renewal Between Morocco and France

The city of Dakhla is hosting, this Thursday, October 9, a new edition of the Morocco–France Economic Forum, a high-level gathering that brings together more than 300 Moroccan and French business leaders seeking to strengthen a historic partnership and open new horizons for investment.

Jointly organized by the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM) and the Movement of the Enterprises of France (MEDEF), through the France–Morocco Business Leaders Club, the forum aims to inject fresh momentum into bilateral cooperation by creating synergies between economic players on both sides.

Discussions are focused on key strategic themes such as the Royal Atlantic Initiative, food security, energy transition and decarbonization, as well as tourism and vocational training — all with the goal of building a shared vision for sustainable and inclusive development.

This event follows the state visit of President Emmanuel Macron to Morocco and the Rabat forum in 2024, which led to the signing of over twenty economic agreements between the two nations.

For both business organizations, the choice of Dakhla is far from random: it embodies the strategic position of southern Morocco as a gateway to Africa and a meeting point for Euro-African economic ambitions.

In an atmosphere of fruitful exchanges and optimism, this forum stands as a key moment in strengthening Franco-Moroccan economic ties, driven by a shared vision of partnership centered on innovation, sustainability, and the future of the African continent.
