National Forum on the Empowerment of Girls and Women through Sport Kicks Off: Promoting Equality and Female Leadership through Sports

Organized to mark the Moroccan National Women’s Day and the International Day of the Girl Child, the forum brings together more than 300 participants, along with a wide range of institutional, civil society, and economic leaders who share a common conviction: sport is a key driver of inclusion, leadership, and sustainable development. The event was held in the presence of the Canadian Ambassador and the Australian Ambassador to Morocco.

Supported by the Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sports, and the National Initiative for Human Development (INDH), this ambitious gathering serves as a space for dialogue, exchange, and action in favor of greater representation of girls and women in sports and in society as a whole.

Over two days, conferences, participatory workshops, and inspiring testimonies will spotlight women leaders, researchers, athletes, engineers, and social entrepreneurs who will share their experiences and chart the path toward a more equitable and inclusive future.

This forum continues Tibu Africa’s mission to make sport a powerful engine of empowerment, education, and social transformation for girls and women in Morocco and across Africa.

Inspiring Voices for a More Equal Morocco

This year’s edition welcomes exceptional speakers—researchers, consultants, athletes, engineers, and renowned experts—who will share their experiences and vision for change. Through interactive workshops, they will address key themes such as gender equality, technological innovation, inclusive education, sustainable development, and sports diplomacy.

These exchanges aim to equip participating girls and women with skills, confidence, and inspiration to become agents of transformation within their communities.

A Platform for Action, Solidarity, and Vision

The Tibu Africa Forum is not limited to discussion; it embodies a concrete platform for engagement. By promoting sport as a vector of development, it encourages a holistic approach to equality, where athletic practice becomes a driver of leadership, empowerment, and socio-economic opportunity.

Through this initiative, Tibu Africa reaffirms its pioneering role in human development through sport and its commitment to building a Morocco where every girl can dream, take action, and succeed.

The energy, determination, and collective intelligence of the women and girls gathered in Casablanca stand as a promise for a fairer, more sustainable, and more equal future.
