Morocco and El Salvador Unite Efforts to Transform the Lives of Hearing-Impaired Children

During her official visit to Morocco, the First Lady reaffirmed, alongside the President of the Lalla Asmaa Foundation, the continuation of a joint effort carried out for more than twelve years to reinforce the care provided to children suffering from hearing impairment in her country. A long-standing commitment built on trust, shared expertise and a human-centered approach to public health.

A memorandum of understanding that changes lives

This exemplary cooperation reached a decisive milestone with the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Moroccan Ministry of Health and the Lalla Asmaa Foundation. This agreement will allow El Salvador to:

  • receive state-of-the-art cochlear implants,
  • benefit from the support and presence of Moroccan specialists,
  • conduct surgical interventions,
  • develop therapy and rehabilitation programs,
  • and strengthen the skills of its health personnel through dedicated training.

This initiative reflects Morocco’s recognized expertise in audiology and cochlear surgery, as well as the Kingdom’s commitment to active and humanitarian diplomacy.

Morocco, a committed partner and strategic ally

The First Lady of El Salvador did not hide her profound gratitude toward the Kingdom, stating: “With allies like Morocco, we continue transforming the lives of our children and their families.”

This statement illustrates the human and social scale of Morocco’s cooperation, which goes beyond institutional agreements to directly impact communities where needs are most pressing.

A model of Moroccan humanitarian diplomacy

Through the Lalla Asmaa Foundation and its highly specialized medical departments, Morocco reaffirms once again its role as a regional and international leader in the care of hearing-impaired children. This agreement symbolizes:

  • the Kingdom’s ongoing commitment to noble causes,
  • the promotion of Moroccan medical expertise,
  • and the international influence of Moroccan institutions dedicated to childhood and social inclusion.

Through this renewed collaboration, Morocco and El Salvador offer an inspiring example of what sincere and forward-looking cooperation can achieve: restoring hope for children, giving families a better future and building human bridges between nations. A partnership that honors Morocco and once again reflects the strength of its solidarity-based diplomacy.
