The Moroccan National Olympic Committee (CNOM) has confirmed that Morocco will be represented at the upcoming Winter Olympics in Milano Cortina, Italy, taking place from February 6 to 22, 2026.
Based on quotas allocated by the International Ski Federation and validated by the Royal Moroccan Ski and Mountain Sports Federation, the CNOM has officially registered the Moroccan delegation with the Milano Cortina 2026 Organizing Committee.
Morocco’s team will feature two athletes competing in alpine and cross-country skiing. Pietro Tranchina will represent the Kingdom in the slalom and giant slalom events in alpine skiing, while Abderrahim Kemmissa will compete in the 10 km freestyle cross-country skiing race.
The competitions will take place at the alpine venues of Bormio for alpine skiing and Predazzo for cross-country skiing, as part of a multi-city organizational plan across northern Italy.
Through this participation, Morocco underscores its commitment to winter sports and reaffirms its presence on the Olympic stage, promoting the values and ideals of the Olympic movement.
