The subsidies, totaling 15,380,000 dirhams and benefiting 90 sports clubs and associations, were granted in recognition of their results and performances at the national, continental, and international levels.
In an address on this occasion, FRMA President Abdeslam Ahizoune stated that this ceremony forms part of the continuity of a strategic choice adopted by the federation more than two decades ago, within the framework of a policy aimed at upgrading sports clubs and associations, in line with the High Guidelines of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
Mr. Ahizoune stressed the importance of highlighting the central role played by regional leagues, clubs, and associations as a fundamental lever in the implementation of the public sports service mission carried out by the FRMA. He added that their work contributes to broadening the base of practitioners and to identifying promising young talents capable of representing Morocco with distinction at regional, continental, and global sporting events.
For his part, FRMA Secretary General Mohamed Ghizlane indicated that the 2024–2025 sports season was marked by the registration of 16,171 athletes across 205 clubs and sports associations affiliated with the various regional leagues. He pointed to a strong predominance of youth categories, which reached a rate of 76 percent, compared to 58 percent during the previous season.
He noted that this significant number of new members constitutes a real indicator of the success of talent scouting efforts aimed at preparing the future elite of Moroccan athletics.
The 2024–2025 season was also characterized by the organization of 167 competitions across the various athletics disciplines, including cross-country, with the participation of 55,291 athletes from different age categories.
