According to Moroccan journalist Omar Chraibi, who claims to have directly contacted the Lausanne-based institution, no appeal procedure has, to date, been registered against the decision issued by the Confederation of African Football.
Yet the regulatory framework is clear. In accordance with Article 48, paragraph 3 of CAS statutes, the Senegalese federation has a strict ten-day window to challenge the decision of CAF’s Appeals Committee. With the ruling delivered on March 17, 2026, the deadline to lodge an appeal is set for March 27.
This procedural silence is raising questions about the strategy adopted by Senegalese football authorities. As time continues to run out, the absence of any formal submission could either signal an implicit decision not to contest the ruling, or suggest that a last-minute filing is still being prepared.
In any case, the deadline is fast approaching, and any action must be taken before the regulatory time limit expires, otherwise the CAF decision will become final.
For now, uncertainty remains around the case, with its outcome hinging on whether the Senegalese federation makes a last-minute move before time runs out.
