Mulambo Haimbe, Zambia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, praised on Thursday the strategic initiatives launched by His Majesty King Mohammed VI in support of regional integration and development across Africa, highlighting in particular the importance of the Atlantic African States Initiative and the Royal Initiative for the Sahel.
The Zambian Foreign Minister, currently on a working visit to the Kingdom, emphasized that these initiatives aim to strengthen regional integration, improve connectivity between African countries, and facilitate Sahel states’ access to the Atlantic Ocean.
This position was expressed in a joint communiqué issued in Rabat following talks between Mulambo Haimbe and Nasser Bourita, Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates.
On this occasion, both ministers welcomed the momentum of South-South cooperation driven by the Kingdom of Morocco, describing it as a key lever for strengthening African solidarity and promoting shared and sustainable development.
