CAN 2025: Brahim Diaz and Noussair Mazraoui in the Team of the Group Stage
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) unveiled on Friday the team of the group stage of the Africa Cup of Nations “Morocco 2025”, a phase marked by strong competition between the players of the different participating national teams.
This ideal lineup is distinguished by a notable Moroccan presence with two players from the national team: Brahim Diaz and Noussair Mazraoui. Both delivered remarkable performances during the group matches, directly contributing to the solid showing of the Lions of the Atlas during this stage of the tournament.
Team of the group stage:
Goalkeeper: Mohamed El Shennawy (Egypt).
Defense: Edmond Tapsoba (Burkina Faso), Axel Tuanzebe (DR Congo), Ali Abdi (Tunisia) and Noussair Mazraoui (Morocco).
Midfield: Brahim Diaz (Morocco), Ademola Lookman (Nigeria) and Carlos Baleba (Cameroon).
Attack: Sadio Mané (Senegal), Amad Diallo (Ivory Coast) and Riyad Mahrez (Algeria).
In addition, Eric Chelle, head coach of Nigeria, was appointed to lead this team of the group stage.
It should be noted that the teams qualified for the next round of CAN Morocco 2025 are: Morocco, Mali, Egypt, South Africa, Nigeria, Tunisia, Tanzania, Senegal, DR Congo, Benin, Algeria, Burkina Faso, Sudan, Ivory Coast, Cameroon and Mozambique.
