French Minister of Justice Gérald Darmanin on Official Visit to Morocco
French Minister of Justice Gérald Darmanin is expected in Morocco on Monday 2 and Tuesday 3 February 2026 for a high-level official visit, marking a new stage in the strengthening of judicial relations between Paris and Rabat.

This visit is part of a momentum of enhanced cooperation between the two countries in addressing shared legal and security challenges. Scheduled discussions will focus in particular on the fight against drug trafficking, the intensification of judicial cooperation and international mutual legal assistance, as well as issues related to international arbitration, a rapidly growing sector in the Euro-Mediterranean area.
On this occasion, Gérald Darmanin will take part in a conference on international arbitration in Casablanca. His participation highlights Morocco’s strategic positioning as a regional hub for the settlement of legal and commercial disputes, notably in Africa and across the Mediterranean basin.
Through this visit, France and Morocco reaffirm their shared determination to consolidate their judicial partnership, adapt cooperation mechanisms to transnational threats, and explore new prospects in the fields of legal security, governance and regional stability.
